Cancer Awareness football game at Sterling Heights High on Friday, Sept. 28

Sterling Heights High School is hosting its second annual Cancer Awareness football game on Friday, Sept. 28, in support of Malia’s Cord Foundation.
The Sterling Heights Stallions take on Lake Shore. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
Brian Malia, who played quarterback at Sterling Heights, died of spinal cord cancer last year.
Penny wars have taken place during lunch and the administrator to collect the most money has to lead a zumba song on stage during an event which will be held Saturday. A zumba-thon will be held from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, at the high school.
All proceeds will be donated to cancer research.
