The Technicians played De La Salle and Eisenhower in consecutive weeks, and allowed only three points in the two games as the Detroit Public School team advanced to the Division 1 state championship game.
Cass Tech defeated Eisenhower 6-3 in a state semifinal game Nov. 19. The Eagles were champions of the Macomb Area Conference Red Division.
In a regional contest played Nov. 11, Cass Tech shut out De La Salle 6-0.
The Technicians are 4-0 in their last four playoff games against county competition.
In 2010, the Technicians defeated Dakota in a regional game.
In 2008, Cass Tech knocked off Warren-Mott in a pre-district game.
Cass Tech plays Detroit Catholic Central in the state final at Ford Field.
