As far as swimming meets go, they don’t come any closer than the one Lake Shore and Warren Woods-Tower competed in Tuesday night.
The Shorians and Titans battled to an 85-85 tie in the MAC Gold Division dual meet, leaving Lake Shore 0-1-1 in the division and WWT 1-0-1 in the Gold.
“It happens,” Lake Shore co-coach Tom Zalewski said in an e-mail. “Not in a long while though.”
But Zalewski also said the Lake Shore’s boys team swam to a tie against Sterling Heights last year.
