Pointed production for football teams

Macomb County football teams gave the scoreboard a workout in Week 3.

Ten county schools scored 40 or more points, but that didn’t always guarantee success – just ask Lake Shore, which lost to Madison.

Four teams scored 50 or more points, but again that wasn’t enough for two of them as Stevenson fell to Warren-Mott and Warren Woods-Tower lost to Marysville.

Of course, that shows that while many offenses were prolific last week, many defenses were porous.

Six Macomb County schools allowed 50 or more points in Week 3, and two allowed 60 or more.

How about the teams that shut out other teams?

True, some defenses have played well, such as Michigan Collegiate (as was pointed out in a previous post). Eisenhower also has proved stingy, as have De La Salle, Parkway Christian, South Lake and Utica.
